People make mistakes okay. And people get upset over something that may not have been as hostile as you imagined it to be

we all make mistakes sometimes. and it’s embarrassing. remember how it feels to be embarrassed because you did something dumb and don’t reblog that post. Just let it go. It’s okay.
One of the worst things that has changed about me, on the personal level, since I made this tumblr account is that I get angrier a lot easier.
At least…more things that people say/do to each other rubs me the wrong way because now I realize how awful some things I used to be ok with are.
My mom tells my brother to stop acting like such a girl and I grit my teeth.
My friends casually make rape jokes and my smile fades.
I know they don’t mean anything by it. I know they’re a product of their culture and I shouldn’t fault them for it. Because I know they’re good people despite this.
It just hurts me a little, because I don’t want to be that social justice blogger/activist who makes everyone around her walk on eggshells because people can be cruel.
